About Us

The basic objective of this group is to identify a class of security exploits and develop a defense that eliminates it as a threat. We have successfully identified constraints on the exploit, discovered where and how the exploit is vulnerable, and taken advantage of thus discovered vulnerability in the exploit to eliminate the security threat. An important component of this approach is establishing that the defense cannot easily be circumvented.

Our group is currently focussed on addressing the following information security issues:
  • Ransomware
  • Cryptojacking
  • Automobile attacks
  • IoT attacks
In the past, we have published research concerning:
  • Targeted cyberattacks
  • Botnets
  • Fuzzing
  • Buffer overflow protection
